Portrait — David in the studio
About

David Ediger

Painter · British Columbia, Canada

David Ediger is a painter in British Columbia, Canada. He paints in oil using the methods of the old masters — underpainting, glazing, soft edges — whether he's studying Monet and Vermeer or painting his own Space Girls series.

By day he has spent more than two decades as a designer and creative director across print, web, film and sound. He also composes orchestral and hybrid music for film and trailers, including trailer music for Bridgerton.

He has taught at Western Washington University, lectured at Trinity Western University, and helped build a web animation course at the University College of the Fraser Valley — and now teaches painting one-on-one.

Bio drafted from what David has told us — he should rewrite it in his own voice.
